Susie Harper School of Dance is a fun and positive studio where thousands of students and parents have shared in the joy of the Dance Arts since 1972. For 40 years our studio has been held to the highest possible standards for offering enthusiastic, quality instruction in a non-competitive and supportive environment that caters to all skill levels.
As a recreational studio for Dance Art, our school is dedicated to creating a classroom that develops self-confidence and builds self-esteem through movement, teamwork and FUN! In each of our classes students learn technique, work on challenging choreography and develop their stage presence. Our studio accepts students of all skill levels and body types from the age of 3 and up. Classes offered include Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acro and tumbling. Our caring and talented instructors give personal attention to each student to insure individual development.
Susie Harper dancers look forward to and work very hard for our studio's traditional performances each year. Our school provides entertainment during Benicia's various 4th of July events including the parade and the show in Benicia's City Park. Dancers also have the occasional opportunity to perform in the city's schools as well as in charitable performances for local hospitals and convalescent homes. The highlight for each year at Susie Harper School of Dance is our annual spring dance recital. This wonderful event is a showcase of our dancers and is filled with high-energy performances, great music and tons of fun!
